      4. where a colleague provides your email address as a means of referral

  • Business Insights Asia Pacific Pty Ltd may disclose your personal information to any of our employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, agents, suppliers or subcontractors insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy.

13. Disclosure of information
  • BIAP’s primary aim is to use survey data to enable better onsite experience during our events. From attendee feedback, completing surveys greatly improved the return on investment for BIAP event delegates. To better qualify 1-1 meetings and ensure that strategic partners can add value, survey information will be shared with our partners prior to the event.  Our strategic partners are briefed pre-event in best practice for handling survey data.
  • For disclosure of information to 3rdparties, please note:
      1. BIAP will not share your information with our partner network if you specifically request for us not to
      2. where BIAP uses 3rdparty analysts, BIAP will make effort to remove identifying information that would link you to the survey
      3. by accepting an event invitation and completing a survey, you are consenting to this information being used to improve your onsite experience, as outlined in these terms
      4. BIAP will not share your information if you have specifically stated that your data should not be shared with our partner network
      5. BIAP will remove your information from our distribution to strategic partners on your request, however, BIAP will not be able to retract information that has already been disseminated
14. Post Event Database
  • After attending a BIAP event, you will be added to BIAP’s Post Event Database. The primary use of this database is to allow continued engagement from onsite strategic partners. BIAP encourages strategic partners to only reach out post-event if they met you on-site or you requested to meet with them. Information shared may include; email, office line, mobile number and address.
15. Mobile Applications
  • When you use our applications, we may collect certain information such as mobile unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application. This information is used in an aggregated manner to analyse how people use our site, such that we can improve our service.
  • We may from time to time use cookies in our applications. Cookies are very small files which a website uses to identify you when you come back to the application and to store details about your use of the application. We encourage our users to be aware, when they leave our application or website, to read the privacy statements of each application or website that collects personal identifiable information.
  • When you visit the mobile application, we may use GPS technology (or other similar technology) to determine your current location in order to determine the city you are located within and display a location map with relevant advertisements. We will not share your current location with other users or partners.
16. Access to your Personal Information
  • Should you wish to access, update or correct any personal information held in BIAP’s systems, please notify BIAP in writing and a client service representative will be assigned to fulfil your request.
  • In rare cases, BIAP may charge an administrative fee for providing a copy of your personal information.
  • In order to protect your personal information, BIAP may require identification before releasing the requested information.
17. Payment
  • Where the option is given to you, you may make payment of the Subscription Fee by way of:
    1. Credit card
    2. Electronic funds transfer
  • All credit card payments made in the course of your use of the Services are made using Cvent. In using the Website, the Services or when making any payment in relation to your use of the Services, you warrant that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Stripe terms and conditions which are available on their website.
  • You acknowledge and agree that where a request for the payment of the Subscription Fee is returned or denied, for whatever reason, by your financial institution or is unpaid by you for any other reason, then you are liable for any costs, including banking fees and charges, associated with the Subscription Fee.
  • You agree and acknowledge that Business Insights Asia Pacific Pty Ltd can vary the Subscription Fee at any time and that the varied Subscription Fee will come into effect following the conclusion of the existing Subscription Period.
18. Refund Policy
  • Business Insights Asia Pacific Pty Ltd will only provide you with a refund of the Subscription Fee in the event they are unable to continue to provide the Services or Business Insights Asia Pacific Pty Ltd. decides, at its absolute discretion, that it is reasonable to do so under the circumstances. Where this occurs, the refund will be in the proportional amount of the Subscription Fee that remains unused by the Member (the ‘Refund’).
19. Independent Legal Advice
  • Both parties confirm and declare that the provisions of the Terms are fair and reasonable and both parties having taken the opportunity to obtain independent legal advice and declare the Terms are not against public policy on the grounds of inequality or bargaining power or general grounds of restraint of trade.
20. Severance
  • If any part of these Terms is found to be void or unenforceable by a Court of competent jurisdiction, that part shall be severed, and the rest of the Terms shall remain in force.
